Kangsen Mai, Ph. D., is professor of aquaculture nutrition at Ocean University of Qingdao, Qingdao, China. He received his Ph. D. degree from National University of Ireland in 1995, M. Sc. and B. Sc. degrees in aquaculture from Ocean University of Qingdao in 1985 and 1982, respectively. Dr. Mai serves as a Vice- President of Ocean University of Qingdao from 1998 to 2002, and served as the Dean of Fisheries College at the same university from 1997 to 1998.
Dr. Mai is Director of Conference, the International Abalone Association, Director of Research Association of Aquaculture Nutrition and Feeds of China, and Director members of China Ocean Society and China Postgraduate Education.
Dr. Mai's major research area is aquaculture nutrition and feed. He has authored or co-authored in excess of 50 publications in this area. Dr. Mai received 6 Provincial or Ministry Awards of Science and Technology Progress for his achievements in studies on shrimp and abalone nutrition. He is a grant winner of the National Science Foundation of China for Talent Youths.
