Present post: Director General of the Intergovernmental Organization of the Network of Aquaculture Centres in Asia-Pacific (NACA), was elected NACA Coordinator by the Governing Council in December 2000 and assumed the post on 2 April 2001 (the Council revised the title at its latest annual meeting held in January 2002). Information specialist of NACA since 1987; previous posts: Assistant scientist (farming systems socio-economics research and training) at the International Rice Research Institute (IRRI); Communications program manager of the Southeast Asian Regional Center for Graduate Research and Studies (SEARCA); Communications officer of the Aquaculture Department of the Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC); Researcher and Head of Technical Services of the Forest Research Institute of the Philippines; Programme Specialist/Information Specialist of the Philippine Council of Agriculture and Resources Research and Development (PCARRD), and Lecturer in Development Communications of the University of the Philippines.
